LEAD-Ins at the Rez

The LEAD-In at the Rez is a new initiative between the LEAD Center and the FSU Reservation and is expected to be a great success by providing students with an exciting leadership learning opportunity.

All students are encouraged to participate in the LEAD-In at the Rez. Space is limited to 40 participants.

Description:
The LEAD-Ins at the Rez are overnight retreat style leadership learning experiences hosted by The LEAD Center and the FSU Reservation. These sessions will focus on the development of leadership knowledge, skills and values.

Who:
This program is free to students and space is limited 40 participants. All meals, lodging, and materials are provided.

How:
A joint initiative between the LEAD Center and Campus Recreation. Curricula are determined by the Knowledge, Skills and Values of the FSU LEAD Center.

When:
Curricula will be developed based on leadership learning in communities (November 9-10), in groups (November 30-December 1), in partnerships (January 25-26), and for the individual (February 8-9). Check-in will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday and will close at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. During this time, students will participate in engaging, informative and challenging activities ranging from challenge course elements and group simulations to individual reflection. Dates and times reflect the 2007-2008 school year.

Outcome:
The purpose of this program is to provide weekend retreats that integrate leadership education, training, development, and engagement in an open, dynamic, and challenging learning environment.
